The fountain pen is made of colored lacquer and precious resin and takes up the colors of the black tuxedo with a white shirt and a white bow tie worn by maestro Luciano Pavarotti.

The floral motifs on the red lacquer cone, as well as the turquoise cabochon, are reminiscent of the colorful Hawaiian shirts often worn by Pavarotti. The Au 750 solid gold nib is decorated with a delicate engraving of Pavarotti’s unusual lucky charm: a curved nail.
